Default Rick Sells 253.com for 100K

    REF: http://www.ricksblog.com/my_weblog/2011/10/i-sell-16th-domain-in-16-years235com-goes-for-100k.html

I understand that its not a very big deal selling a NNN.COM name for 100k, but there are few points to be taken for a strategy here:

"Do you have the patience to wait that long? My strategy started out knowing it could be 20 years. Not 20 minutes, not 20 days, not 20 months. Each domain will ripen at a different point because each industry is at a different point on how they are harnessing the power of the Internet. "

I've just read his full post and yes, I agree with you, the lesson we need to learn is that waiting is one of the key factors in domaining.

Rick is definitely a master at saying "no" to offers for domains and negotiating a high sales price. I also agree that a 20 year time frame is probably right for investing in domains, especially for markets in their early stages like .in. Still, he could convey the same message with a lot less ego stroking.

Problem is, in 20 years I´m an old man and can spend the money only in blue pills and a good looking nurse

He never sells to reseller so no point comparing him with us. He was a lucky ass who invested in domains at right time.

If you follow his posts, his mantra for success reveals a lot more than luck to be in a position he is today.
