Thread: BBC.in as URL shortener

Sorry if this is old news, but a search here didn't yield anything.

The BBC (as in British Broadcasting Corporation) has recently begun using BBC.in as an URL shortener. Apparently, BBC wants to make sure that people who click on BBC.in links are assured that the story will indeed lead to a BBC story.

They also use it on Twitter, for example BBC Leeds:

Pretty nice move and good to see a media heavyweight like this use the .in extension.
