We have a new tool to monitor the detailed stats of the most important TLD's:

DomainsIndex.com

With regards to what matters most to us, among other things, it says that the average .COM value is $6,939, while the average .IN value is $726, more than 10%!

Nice tool, but the 10% figure is not accurate.
The larger domain reseller market is totally, totally dominated by .com sales at all levels of keyword quality (from top to bottom), while .in names that do sell on the aftermarket tend to be in the top-top levels of keyword quality.

You cannot compare dissimilar markets and expect them to draw parallel conclusions. I just handreg'd Zud.in and Yud.in for about $2 a piece (meaning, even domain resellers passed on them for $2). Those same names in .com would be stiffly into the five figure range.
