Arrow Why .IN domain value will grow in future....?? READ THIS

This is the right time to INVEST in .IN Domains. WHY? Kindly read below.

    Few Interesting Facts about INDIA.

    - Indian Population: 1.15 Billion
Current Population of India in 2010 is around 1,150,000,000 (1.15 billion) people. Currently, India is second largest country in the world after China in terms of population. By 2030, the population of India will be largest in the world estimated to be around 1.53 billion.

    - Indian Middle Class Population: 300 Million
who can speak/write and understand english
Note: its more than whole USA population

    - .IN Domains Registered till Mar 2010: 600,000 only

    - Graduates in INDIA
India has more science graduates than in US, EU, or China

With over 2.3 million students passing out of colleges annually, India has outperformed the US, Europe and Japan in having maximum number of students graduating in Maths and science. And this is not the only feather in the country's cap. According to a recent study, India also boosts of second largest pool of scientists and engineers in the world.

This data is based on the study by Ernst and Young, conducted jointly with the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Assocham).

The study reveals that India ranks 17th based on this parameter, against 48th ranking for the US, 33rd for Japan and 38th for China. Germany, according to the study, ranks first, followed by Singapore and France.

"The number of science and engineering graduates is an important consideration. There are 690,000 students of science and maths graduating every year -- much higher than China, Japan, the US and Europe," said D S Rawat, secretary general of Assocham.

In China, the number of such graduates each year is 530,000, against 350,000 in Japan, 420,000 in the US and 470,000 in the EU.

Some key facts about Indian education highlighted by the study are:

    - More than 2.3 million graduates every year

    - Nearly 750,000 post-graduates per annum

    - Second largest pool of scientists and engineers in the world

    - Second largest number of trained doctors

    - As many as 389 universities, 14,169 colleges and 1,500 research institutions

    - Internet Usage and Population Statistics: 2010
    81,000,000 Active Internet Connection

Broadband policy and other initiatives by the IT and Telecom Ministry encourage increased adoption. A monthly broadband subscription costs as little as 199 rupees (US $4.50). A second factor is the IT Telecom Ministry initiative to make computers available for purchase under 10,000 rupees (US $226).

    Broadband Connections in India
The total broadband connection base in India grew to 10.08 million, up 3.17% from August 2010, when the country reported 9.77 million broadband connections.

Total Mobile Phone Connections in India: 670.6 Million
India is adding 15 million new mobile users every month.

Internet Users in India: 70 Million
India’s internet community grew by a spectacular 42% in 2009 from a year ago, spurred by a rash of cheaper devices and affordable broadband plans that helped sidestep snags such as buttoned-up PC sales and a shrinking spread of cyber cafes.

The country’s total number of internet users grew to 71 million last year, according to an annual survey by market research agency IMRB and Internet and Mobile Association of India.

    --------END------------

What I mean to say by putting all above facts is that.

Now a days, Internet & Domains are very much in DEMAND, specially .IN & .CO.IN Domains.

In many cases, many .COMs redirected to .INs websites

    70 Million Active Internet Users
    81,000,000 Active Internet Connections

Just, JUST 1.4 million domain names registered in India so far. Out of which only 600,000 were .INs

    MY FINAL POINT IS:-
Most Indians are not aware of opportunities of having their own DOMAINS or WEBSITES (Specially .IN & .CO.IN). And when they do realize this, there will be nothing left for them to register. And then they'll visit the domains they really wanted and contact the domain owner asking if its for SALE.

    Welcome to Domaining....!
Today, there are no keywords or dictionary words .COMs are available for registration. The same will be the fate of .IN and .CO.IN

    Just wait and watch.....!

Today, few & new domainers regret of not entering domaining in early stages and like them many domainers will regret of underestimating or not investing in .IN Domains.

    -----------------

This is just my opinion based on Facts and current .IN domain market scenario which am currently experiencing here in the very heart of INDIA....!

Earlier, domain registrar use to offer only DOMAIN REGISTRATIONS
Now they are also offering Premium Domains
    Example: Name dot com

Now, all web hosting companies register domains for their customer, if the domains are available in any extensions. In next 2-3 years, All web hosting companies will be selling Premium Domains - Specially .IN Premium Domains.

    Thanks & Regards

Thanks for elaborating on that vital subject. You actually confirm my own thoughts and predictions. Yes, it looks very promising, but we also cannot forget about the main India problems like poverty, uneployment or corruption which hamper overall development of the country. All in all, the economy is growing fast and I observe many positive changes going on. I'm wondering if I recognize this country when coming back after 10 years (a rhetoric question)?
