Mainly used right now by:

1) foreign businesses working in India
2) tech-savvy Indians
3) people looking for domain hacks: doma.in, outside.in etc...

hopefully we can add #4 soon:

4) ordinary Indians

Aside from the other potential 'meanings' for .IN, India along with international companies entering India will support the future of .IN.

India is the 7th biggest continent in the world and many MNC's prefer india to other asian countries as Indian's have a good neutral english accent unlike their neighboring countries. india will top population soon.

Right now i think only 0.00001 of indian's know what domain business is.they are also becoming more and more tech savvy.

Be a smart guy.start investing in INDIAN cctld.
