We plan to get a very similar domain for 2000$ - is it worth ?


Our prime reason is for investment, second reason is to make it a audio streaming site

Yes, if it really is a premium domain like Music.in.

Currently, a lot of Indian domains are being held for long-term investment.

To get an idea of how much Indian domains have been selling for over the past few years, see list of Indian domain sales. Please bear in mind that some domains were sold at reseller prices, while others were sold at end user prices.

Value is in the eye of the beholder. If you have a business plan for a name that is not really a word but simply short or a hack then maybe it is worth it.

For investment- better to go for meaningful relevant names. I have a few.

btw- if you can get a name like music.in for $2K I would be very surprised.

If I owned music.in I would NOT sell it for $2k. If you are getting a domain in same category , grab it. Goodluck.

If music.in owner is selling it for $10k i will buy it in next hour. Do not hesitate to invest $1k to $10k for real good super premium domains.
