Reauction of MichaelJackson.in at Bido
the domain only received an opening bid of $28 dollars. There was a reserve price placed and so the sale was not complete.
I believe the original sale was in the mid $400s.
I suppose the interest in the King of Pop has died down...

Re: Reauction of MichaelJackson.in at Bido
I surprised it was on Bido again so soon (it originally sold in September). Anyhow, I think registering a first name and surname domain is risky unless you intend to set up a legitimate non-profit fan site, or it's your own name that you've registered.

Looks like there was a bid for $29 too...
Not really a surprising result. Flipping a domain on the same venue in a few weeks is not normally going to work too well unless the domain was really under priced to start.

Re: Reauction of MichaelJackson.in at Bido
I guess the owner of the site at auction on Bido doesn't know about ebay.com I haven't looked in a while but there used to be lots and lots of Michael Jackson domains for sale for $1,000,000 and more (yes, a million dollars). I don't know how many were sold. I bought two Michael Jackson domains for 99 cents each. They actually get clicks. If I'm not mistaken one has paid for itself.

In my opinion the first sale on Bido with around 460 US Dollar was really overpaid.
It will never reach this again.Last edited by HappyHour; 11-18-2009 at 01:06 AM.

newyorkdude - interesting to hear that the Michael Jackson domains actually get traffic.
HappyHour - yes, this thread should almost be made a sticky as an example of why fad domains are dangerous.

No doubt the domain value at first sale had been significantly overrated! The hand-regger had had such a great sale!
