Smile 250,000 registrations.

June 5, 2007: The .IN registry has reached 250,000 registrations.

There was 200,000 registrations in November 2006

Nice pick up, Johnny. You've inspired me to do some maths:February 21, 2005: Registration for '.in' domain crosses 75,000

So it took from Feb. 2005 to Nov. 2006 to increase from 75,000 to 200,000.

125,000 domains in 655 days (approx.) means 190 per day.

But - and this is where it gets interesting.....

From November last year to June this year, there were:

50,000 domains in 180 days (approx.) means 277 per day.

The pace of .in registrations has increased 50% in the last 6 months.

(I'm no maths genius - feel free to point out if I made any mistakes here)

The amount of domains registered does not take into affect the amount of domains registered in that period surely? Take into account drops for example ?

Interesting question - I presume it means the number of domains actually held at that time so that dropped names aren't included (but I may be wrong)
