Default Indian Registry really screwy today?

Anyone else getting really screwy results from the Indian registry today?

All my queries seem to bring up data from 1/2 years ago.

For example, I picked up this name as it dropped last week:

SolaPur.co.in Sola Pur. The results are 2 years out of date:

Domain ID2128104-AFIN
Domain Name:SOLAPUR.CO.IN
Created On:06-Nov-2005 15:46:44 UTC
Last Updated On:05-Jan-2006 19:20:16 UTC
Expiration Date:06-Nov-2006 15:46:44 UTC
Sponsoring Registrar:Online Nic (R8-AFIN) ......

I've tried this with a dozen domains and the same old results

Hi Steve, what you said is right, I experienced the same, even I made a nice list of 5 or so names to scan everyday thinking that they drop soon

I got doubt when I found the 6th, 7th and so on then checked one of my own lll.in which has 2 years left on it, whois shows as if it is expired, then I thought something is screwed up and destroyed my sweet list I made before.

BTW you have a nice community here, just joined and reporting to the leader

Hey - Welcome NameTrader, glad to have you on board

The problem isn't resolved still, unfortunately....

Seeing some of my best domains expired in 2006 gave much such a jolt that I renewed some for another 4 years, just to give me peace of mind

I've been doing quite a bit of name research the last couple of weeks and it seems that the registry is screwy on a low-level day-to-day basis.

The Whois data is often out-of-date or inaccurate. I presume the registrars have access to more accurate info but the public data is frequently wrong.
