Thread: Global Domain registration industry expected to grow to US$5.3bn by 2011

MAP Research have recently published a report on Global Domain Industry stating that the market size of the industry for registration of Generic Top Level Domains (gTLDs) and Country Code Top Level Domains (ccTLDs) will grow from US$3.1bn in 2007 to US$5.3bn in 2011 (three-year CAGR of 13.6% from 200, however market growth will soften as global economies falter.
MAP Research have also identified major players who register either gTLD or ccTLD domains.

WOW... those figures are mind boggling. In the current age of financial meltdown when everyone is trying to cut costs and keep all the extra expenses away, these figures are pretty hard to digest. But anyhow they come from respected body so there is no point in questioning it.

this growth rate is not that high if you consider the previous years growth rates..however, the size of the industry is definitely growing..
