Fair point there. That's where we need to take some learnings from Pantaloon's domain acquisition saga and the like. As someone mentioned, the .in domain industry is at a very nascent stage and has a long way to go. I would therefore, by choice, not want to make judgments about whether or not the outcome of any of the disputes were appropriate / justified.
Point is, there are always inherent risks when someone registers domains which are similar to, if not identical to brands of established business houses. That's where generic term domains and domains that can be built into a brand will have a clear edge.
For instance, if someone has a domain on Freelancing, one can build a mini portal/portal wherein business offering freelance projects and individuals/firms willing to undertake projects can converge from across the industry and not just one a particular industry.
