Did they make you an offer through sedo?
Was $3000 their initial bid? or did you negotiate up to that from something?

It's going to be interesting to see what they do with it.

Buyer made a lowball offer. Negotiated to USD3k.

Whistle dot com goes to ibm.com so interesting things could happen

Hand regged the domain in 2007 as part of a random brandable domain registration spree.

BTW, I think Whistle.com forwards to IBM.com because in 1999 IBM acquired Whistle Communications Inc.

Thanks man! Yes you are right. Had done similar research when offer first came in. The best part was the buyer was pretty quick with reverting to my counter offers. Almost in a few minutes. I suspect SEDO brokers being entrusted with the domain acquisition.
