Default .IN or .ASIA

Well, I am currently investigating further my internet business across the pond, and I am looking into domains.

Here is my question though, which is better .in or .asia? By better I mean which is better for business and value.

Good discussion about it here:
.asia or .in? Which one to prefer?

the only reason for you to opt for a .ASIA domain should be if that domain is not available in .IN..otherwise, .IN is definitely a better extension..

Personally, I normally wouldn't even buy .asia, even if the domain you want is not available in .in. Try to buy the .in on the secondary market, or buy the .co.in or buy a .com, .net or .org, or choose a slightly different domain name.

Hmm, it seems to be what you're really after. Jeff suggested the .in domain, but this site here says that .asia is the best domain name: ICANN approves '.asia' as top-level domain - CNET News

I'd listen to Jeff though; go with .in.
