Default Why I created TWNAM.com

Hi

Wanted to get opinion from members here. My initial idea behind creating twnam.com was to create something like Greatdomains for Indian market. Then I realized that it will require lot of time and may have to hire couple of people.

This way I will not be able to provide the service for FREE. So then I diversified a little. I realized that there is a need for FREE domain portfolio websites along with Aftermarket. Something like Sedo but specialized to Indian & .mobi market.

Anyone here want to give any valuable inputs or suggestions for twnam.com, how can I grow it. ? What's missing? What will attract users from creating their portfolios here.

Since we wanted to review domains, I did not provide the bulk adding of domains. The ideas is that users add their premium domain first for sale to get maximum results.

I have started getting some traffic from google recently.

Thanks
tk

I like twnam. I really don't see anything wrong with it. My problem, and maybe others, is the time required to input all my names, and the detailed information. Of course, I start with www.Sedo.com first. I used to do www.Afternic.com also. So, let's say I then want to input 300 names or so at twnam!
It takes times to input all the information required to do a good good. Then you have to keep with with names that are expiring, or you decide to let drop.Like I said, I like you setup, as I do www.Listed.co.in . It is just a matter of time for me.
It is kind of the same, as trying to stay really active in 3, or 4 domains forums. You are a member of www.Namepros.com, www.Inforum.in, and 2 or 3 of those other guys! It is hard to make posts all the time at each. So, you wind up just doing the 1, or 2 you like the most: www.Inforum.in , and www.Namepros.com!

As always , thanks for your feedback and support Frank.

I will soon be having a dedicated person for twnam.com, and depending upon how it goes I will increase it to two people. I understand the fact that it is time consuming to add domains , unless there is real value.

Will update here once I have the improvements.

Regards
tk.

Hi TK

Thanks for building this.

Its all with Drupal, right? A good choice

I think the best way to go would be to make a choice - either be the Indian equivilant of Great Domains and only accept A+ domains or be an open listing and allow people to bulk register.

I forgot to mention that it also depends on if a person is doing this for a living, or a hobby, trying to make a little money on the side. For me, it's just a hobby. I have a full time job, 33 years in Nov. So, sometimes it hard to input all the information. Maybe when I retire some day, I will have the time. Then, I will definately do all I can do.
