Domain Bias in Web Search
http://ilpubs.stanford.edu:8090/1021...omain-bias.pdf
Interesting study (although domainers know about this anyway).
"Domain bias has led users to concentrate their visits on fewer and fewer domains"
They do provide some examples in the study.
I usually visit about 15-20 websites everyday covering various topics. Very rarely I go to any new websites unless it provides something uniquely different or useful.
Most people type in the web address in google, prior to visiting and this behavior still continues. I found quite a number of India based websites contain virus or pop up ads that I hate, which makes me not want to visit the website in the future.
