Is it legal to own this domain name??

Possibly use it as an information site for information on maoist movements around the world including India and China?

What do you guys think?

Someone informed me that owning this domain name may be illegal due to the fact that the party is an illegal political organisation in India. But my intention to own this name would not be to propagate maoism in India but rather to possibly provide information on maoist theory ect...for information and educational purposes.

Or I may just sell the domain on. Do you think this is a keeper or just trash it? I obviously wouldn't want to be connected with any political propaganda associated with this term. I actually hate politics! Just thought that it was an interesting domain name thats all.

Can someone tell me what the legal implications of owning this domain name would be?

Well there are a lot of maoists in India right?

If looked at through the domaining microscope,this domain is solid-its a one word .in. But, the philosophy behind the name is off because its controvesial and Indian govt is currently fighting a maoist insurgency so this is actually not a very good domain because its involved in sensitive politics. I wouldn't be surprised if the Indian govt seizes this name in the near future and doesn't even explain why.So, maoists.in is worth very low to high $xx because it is not a full assett domain. its more like a 1/3rd assett, 2/3 liability.
