Might be good for a blog for the upcoming Commonwealth games or a site to sell war memorabilia or the like ,but other than that I don't see much value.

i will respectfully disagree with Wot on this one
Just like flags.extension, i think this name could easily be used by a business that makes/designs/customizes medals of all sorts. Think about how many schools, hospitals,workplaces,govt agencies etcs give out medals and awards every year.....IN India too!
Could sell easily for $xxx- high $xxx to the right end user.

just that medal.co.in was available (last checked recently)
so maybe regging that as well may add to any perceived value from an end user !
should easily sell for 10 -50 times reg fee in a few months time
[it's since been regged !

You could do both! I have websites with whypark.com and have them listed for sale. Whypark.com automatically sets the website for you..FOR FREE!
