Thread: Two .org.in domains

Hi guys,

Two domains i regged recently. Certainly super premium 3 letter words, but how much does the .org.in extension decrease the value?

Gas.org.in
Oil.org.in

Any thoughts or inputs are highly appreciated.

Very little value,have there been any org.in sales of any significance?

You're right there haven't been many. These are the only reported sales on Dnsaleprice...

OnlineCasino.org.in - $1,000
Poker.org.in - $1,500
Hotels.org.in -$300
Casino.org.in - $2,200
Webhosting.org.in - $1,000

And there was recently one reported on Inforum - Doctors.org.in - $350, so maybe there have been a few more unreported sales.

Possibly holders for a couple of years to see how the Indian domain market pans out, or see if i can interest a reseller..

If u compare the big .org.in sales they are the highly sought after keywords. They are something which can help you rank higher and thus good traffic. They are also easy easy to monitize if you put up a referral website or start directing to the host website.

The keywords you have got do not belong to that category. I think these are only worth for some big oil or gas exploration company having them as their domain names. This seems bit unlikely considering they are those rare extensions in the Indian market. Anyway these big oil and gas explorers have the Moolah to buy the top domain if they want to.

Anyways Gas.org.in, i think, is of some value if you use it as a forum for installing and everything related to using Gas as a fuel in vehicles. In India they call it CNG (compressed natural gas). CNG kits are a booming market in India and i see it heading north in the next few years. I own www.IndiaCng.com and intend to import Car Gas kits in near future, but still researching.

There have been few .org.in reported sales, but I would rather use this formula:

.in > .co.in > .org.in

In any case, these are good names. Maybe mid XXX to a motivated buyer.

My thoughts are similar to yours Ace - I believe they have value, but patience and some hard selling work my end would be required to achieve a noteworthy sale.

If anyone else has any thoughts on potential and value I welcome your input..
